GB Glace Wedding

Had a lovely time in Gothenburg at the weekend with my colleagues and their families, unfortunately we left the sunny weather in Stockholm. The weekend included:

♥ running down the stairs from the 11th(!) floor after losing my key to the hotel room

Visit to the hospital

Just back from the hospital, went there straight after work to visit my dad who got an open elbow fracture and a broken leg/knee after a terrible fall from the roof of the summer house. My parents were there this weekend and had a great time until he climbed up on the roof to check on the chimney yesterday. When he was going back down, the ladder slipped and fell to the ground and so did my dad..

I was terrified when my brother rang me to tell me about it but luckily, he ONLY broke some bones and is doing fine under the circumstances. I don't want to think about what could have happened..

They operated the elbow last night and now he's waiting for a time slot when they can fix his leg/knee. Hopefully everything will be ok in the end but it will probably take a while before he's back to his normal self and I don't even know if they will give him crutches since it will be difficult to walk on them when he has one of his arms in plaster. My poor little dad!

To Gothenburg

I'm just packing my last things now and getting ready to go to Gothenburg for the wedding of the year ;) GB-gubben (the ice cream fella) is getting married! A train is taking us down to Gothenburg and tonight they're organising a rehearsal dinner. After that we're gonna hit the town!

Tomorrow the wedding is on and we're all gonna be there to support him in Liseberg. I really really hope it won't be raining but the weather forecast didn't look too promising :( It's gonna be a great event anyhow, I know it. Have a great weekend everyone!

So nice to be off work

Just got up, woke up about an hour ago but wanted to stay in bed for a bit longer so that's what I did :) I think I needed to catch up on my sleep a little bit since Wednesday night.

Today, myself and Maria are going to try to plan our trip to Italy. We're heading over to Maria's sister for some tips and one of Maria's colleagues have also sent us an email with tips. We'll see where we end up but I think we will need to plan our trip quite well since we want to go around and see different places rather than just lying on the beach for a week.

Went out for a long walk yesterday with Camilla which was really nice. It was so much warmer yesterday but it started raining while we were walking. Luckily Camilla had brought an umbrella so we were fine.

Last night I went to Scandic Malmen at Medborgarplatsen for a couple of drinks, left at around 11 so it was not a very late night. Today I'm just gonna take it easy and start packing for the GB Glace wedding in Gothenburg. We're heading off tomorrow, can't wait. I really hope the weather will be nice, would be such a pity if it was raining!

Me and the boys

Had a great night out last night, but the headache is coming on now. I spent a lot of money as well which is not good considering I have very little left for this month..

Joined Holger and Jonas in the afternoon and we headed to Boulebar in Rålambshovsparken where Chrille and Johan were. Sat out in the sun for a few hours with a wine glass in my hand, it was really really nice :) At around 19 we were all hungry so we went to Lina's bar for dinner, apparently the guys go there a lot but I've only been there once. Had a nice dinner and we had a lot of fun but when our stomachs were full we paid and headed to Cliff Barnes. It was myself, Chrille and Jonas then. Johan and his girlfriend decided to go home and Holger was meeting up with some other friends. After an hour or so Holger showed up again and we decided to go to...guess where...Lemon bar! Why do we always end up there?? Well, we didn't actually go into Lemon bar because when we arrived there was a long queue so it had to be Lokal. A few drinks later it was time to go home so I jumped into a taxi.

Had a nice sleep but I'm up now. Just need to get rid of this headache and then I'll feel fine ;)

Lovely Wednesday

Went to bed about midnight and woke up at 9:00 this morning. Decided to stay in bed for another hour though, just because I could ;) At 10:00 I got up and I've just had a lovely breakfast.

Today I'm gonna tidy up my apartment, I also have to go to a post office and send two pairs of jeans to people that bought them off me on Tradera and I need to call Com Hem because the box just stopped working a couple of weeks ago and I just haven't had the energy to sort that out.

Later on this afternoon I think I'm gonna meet up with Jonas and Holger. Jonas rang me on Monday to ask if I wanted to join them, I haven't seen Holger for about a year and a half and it would be nice to catch up with him (and Jonas of course)!

The sun makes me happy

Thank God the sun decided to come out today, the weather has been horrible for the last few days but today it was lovely! I get so happy when it's sunny outside :)

This week has been a very short week, I worked yesterday and today and now I'm not back into work until Monday next week. Loving the long weekends..

I went to town for a little while after work and bought a lovely scarf from Vero Moda. After that I went to Citygross to buy some food. I'm gonna sleep until I wake up tomorrow morning (no alarm clock set) and when I do wake up I'm gonna serve myself a lovely breakfast. I love treating myself when I'm off :) I've now got season 2 of Brothers & Sisters as well so I reckon I will watch a couple of episodes again!

Exhausted

I was completely exhausted after yesterday's concert in Berwaldhallen with my choir. I was a bit worried that we weren't gonna pull it off but we did in the end and it was a fantastic experience :)

We had a 3-hour rehearsal starting at 12, then we had a shorter break and then the concert started at 16. The concert itself lasted about 2 hours and we sang the following songs:

I really enjoyed myself throughout the concert, it was a nice ending to this semester. Will definitely continue on this autumn!

This evening myself and the girls went to Jolo's to play pool for a while. Had a laugh and Louise was the cutest, he he :) Gonna relax on the couch now before I head to bed.

The Fame Monster

Enjoyed a great concert in Globen last night, Lady Gaga is a true performer. Had a drink (or two) at Maria's before we left, always nice to catch up with the girls. The weather was still miserable so we had to bring our umbrellas and tried to put warm clothes on but it was still freezing. When we arrived, there were big queues outside so it took about 10 mins before we got in to the arena. Weren't allowed to bring our umbrellas inside so Maria and I lost ours but Lena was clever enough and managed to keep her umbrella in the bag. Lucky for us because it was still raining when we left the place and we would have been soaked otherwise.

Lady Gaga changed outfits (that don't look like anything else you've ever seen before) several times during the show and she performed her biggest hits of course. Bad romance was the final number and we walked (or rather danced) out of there :)

After the concert we stayed in the bar across the street to have a glass of wine so that most people could leave before we jumped on the tube to go to Åse and Björn's house warming party. We only paid them a short visit but it was really nice to see their lovely new apartment. Had a very good Saturday night, hope you did too!

Lady Gaga

Tonight I'm heading to Globen to see Lady Gaga live :) Can't wait for the show, I'd say it will be brilliant! Heading there with Lena and Maria and after the concert we're going to a house warming party. "Fullt ös medvetslös!"

Bridal hairstyle

Just back from town, the weather is miserable today. It's cold, windy and rainy :( Had a good hair session with Emma though, she did my hair and it looked lovely when she was done! Here comes some pics:

Good morning!

Had a great night last night with my colleagues, it was a bit cold so perhaps I didn't help too much with the food that was later served to us but I did contribute when it came to eating it :) The salmon was gorgeous.. A group of people decided to hit the town after a while but I didn't join them this time, I went home like a good girl. Woke up 8:00 this morning and couldn't fall asleep again. I didn't feel great either, blame that on the wine!!

Right now I'm getting ready to go into town, meeting Emma at PUB. Will be nice to see what she is going to do with my hair (while people are watching), I'll try to take a few pics if possible :)

Email from Robin

When I got into work this morning, I found an email from Robin that used to work in our customer service team in Sweden. I love reading his emails, he always makes me laugh:

"Hallå där allihop!
Hoppas att allting är bra hemma i svealand och att ni inte har det alltför svettigt på jobbet.
Det har hänt mycket sedan jag skrev sist och just nu är vi i den gamla kejserliga huvudstaden Kyoto.
Vi har alltså klarat av persen att på två st hottade bmx-cyklar tagit oss från Tokyo till Kyoto. Det handlar alltså om ca 500 km.. Om min rumpa kunde tala skulle den säga "Robin, av oss två är tamejfan du det större rövhålet". Jag var så öm i baken när vi kom fram så det var inte sant! Men nu är den i tipp topp shape och har aldrig varit mer kalsongmodellmaterial. Lillemor och Katja, in med tungan i munnen igen.. jag vet att ni sitter och smådreglar till den bild ni just fick upp i huvudet ;)
Allting i Japan är lite smågalet. Alla seder, folket, naturen, klimatet.. ja allt!
Det gäller att vara hövlig och ibland blir jag lite rädd att en del japaner vi möter ska buga huvudet ur led så mycket som de nickar och har sig. Går man in och handlar en kopp kaffe på starbucks får man ett "tack så hemskt mycket" när man kommer in i affären, ett "tack så hemskt mycket" när man kommer fram till kassan, ett när man beställer, ett när man lämnar fram pengarna, ett när man tar emot växeln, ett när man går och väntar på att kaffen ska bli klar, ett när man tar emot den och slutligen ett när man lämnar affären och då skriker alla anställda efter en i kör.
Jag vet inte hur många som läser bloggen men här kommer en kort resume av vad som hänt sen senast:
Vi har cyklat, vi har prövat massa såna där framtidstoaletter som sprutar rent rumpan på en, vi har blivit inlåsta på ett "love-hotell", vi har sett massa tempel och slott, vi har ätit god mat och druckit varm sake, vi har ätit äcklig mat och fått kall sake upphälld ur 4L tetra pack, vi har träffat en hel del folk, vi har sjungit karaoke "japan-style" (helt otroligt utbud.. säkert en 30 låtar med något obskyrt litet engelskt undergroundband som egentligen aldrig blivit kända fanns med), vi har varit på zoo m.m.
Imorgon ska vi till det internationella Manga-museet och på kvällen ska vi på Geisha show. Det finns även en viss risk att vi kommer dricka en massa öl imorgon. Wehoo!

It has been a good day in work, I have managed to do quite a lot of work. Now it's time for our barbeque and some rose wine I reckon, pity the weather isn't great but at least it's not raining. Have a lovely weekend everyone!

Glamour

Was greeted by the latest issue of Glamour when I came home today, I love reading that magazine. Went to Kista Galleria for an hour after work, just wanted to have a little look around and managed to buy something of course ;) But didn't spend more than 200kr so that's not too bad. Bought a white lacy top from Bikbok that was really cute and a pair of cheap sun glasses from Åhlens. It's always good to have a pair that you don't have to be afraid of breaking..

Hoping for good weather tomorrow since we're having a barbeque at work on the terrace. Looking forward to it!

Early night

Today I'm home early for a change, or at least earlyish.. Have been participating in a workshop all day in work so I felt the need to clear my mind. Went to the gym straight after work and ran about 6 kms on the threadmill. After a nice long shower I'm now at home, I've put my tracksuit bottoms on and just gonna relax in front of the telly. Reckon it'll have to be an early night, need to catch up on the sleep!

Dinner at Matvarufabriken

Just back from a lovely dinner at Matvarufabriken, its a restaurant located between Odenplan and Norrtull. Enjoyed a five course meal together with my colleagues. I wasn't supposed to go tonight at all but since a few people dropped off I was invited to come along and I didn't say no to that :)

Dentist

I had an appointment with the dentist at 8:00 this morning and I looked in my calendar as late as yesterday to establish that. But what happens... I completely forget about it and don't realise it until about lunch time. Woops! Have to ring them tomorrow and make a new appointment but I'm afraid to since I feel so bad about it..

Rehearsal in Berwaldhallen

Just back home from a 3 hour rehearsal in Berwaldhallen, feeling quite tired right now. It went better than I thought it would, but I still have to practice a lot more before Sunday. The concert is on Sunday at 16:00 and Eric Gadd and Victoria Tolstoy are guest artists. Eric Gadd came in for about half an hour tonight to rehearse with us which was nice..

Earlier today my hairdresser and friend Emma contacted me because she wanted to know if I could come in to PUB on Saturday. Apparently they are doing some bridal/wedding hairstyles and since my hair has grown so long now she asked me if she could do my hair :) We'll see how it goes, I'll try to take some pics if possible!

Sore legs

My legs are really sore from the run this afternoon... but I really enjoyed it and the weather was very nice today. I love it when the sun is shining :) Gonna sleep well tonight!

Watching Top Model 13 on TV3 at the moment and dinner is just ready. Tonight I've made Quorn fillets in a mild lemon sauce with broccoli and cashew nuts in the oven, having that with bulgur. I'm starving!

Brunnsviken

Morning everyone, hope you're having a good Sunday. I slept til 10:52 so I'm feeling great today :) Started off with scones, coffee and a couple of episodes of Brothers & Sisters. I'm now finnished watching season one, time to buy season two so that I can continue..

Seriously considering a run around Brunnsviken today. I think it is a good 10-12km run anyway, hopefully my new runners will help me along the way!

When I get back I have to tidy up my apartment and I definitely have to clean my windows too. I better do it today so I don't have to think about it for a while. For weeks I've kept saying that I'm gonna do it but today is the day when I actually will do it :)

Tea and scones

Currently watching "Körslaget" on TV and it makes me realise that our concert in Berwaldhallen is only a week away! I really have to practice tomorrow because I don't know all the lyrics yet and I don't wanna be singing next Sunday without knowing all the songs..

Made some scones tonight and had them with butter, rasberry jam and cheese. I haven't had scones for years so it was about time and I have to say they taste good :)

Tomorrow I was going to go for a walk with Camilla but she has also got a cold so we had to cancel :( I'll probably go out for a run instead, feel like going for a longer run tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will be nice, it has been quite warm lately but I'm missing the sun!

H&M dress

I've ordered this lovely dress from H&M but it won't get delivered until the end of May, I guess there is nothing I can do but wait..

Can't sleep

Why is it that you can't sleep when you have been out drinking!? I always wake up early even though I've just had a few hours of sleep. Feel like a granny waking up 8 o'clock on a Saturday/Sunday morning. I reckon I will fall asleep on the couch later because I'm still wrecked!

Had a good night last night, but Lena left us early as she was getting a cold and didn't feel well :( Hope she's feeling better today! We stayed in TGI Fridays for a good while having lovely drinks before we decided to try out Ambassadeur. Jessica and I walked up to the place and saw a group of "kids", suddenly we felt really old and just walked past. Walked across the street and queued up for Golden Hits instead...don't know if that is much better!? :S Got in and stayed there for a while before we decided to jump into a taxi that could take us to Lemon Bar instead. We always end up there nowadays.. Got in about 2:30 and had about half an hour before the place was going to close. We grabbed a beer in the bar and then hit the dance floor! At least we got to shake our booties for a little while, happy days! :)

Today will be a lazy day, I think I'm gonna watch a couple of episodes of Brothers & Sisters and just take it easy. I'm also thinking about trying to sell a few things on Tradera, hope to get some money back anyway. We'll see how it goes..
