Lunch @ Rökeriet

Saturday, myself and F decided to go to Fjäderholmarna to have lunch at Rökeriet in the sun. I hadn't been there at all this year and I just love the food they serve and it's so nice to sit outside if the weather is nice which it was on Saturday. There were a lot of people on the island but we managed to get a table when we got there (F rang them while we were waiting for the ferry to come and pick us up). I had the salmon and then we shared a blueberry pie for dessert - it was yummy! I was so full for many hours afterwards, only had a sandwich for dinner when we got home ;)

Today I have been in town all day by myself, I walked around in the shops and had a lovely time. Got a few bits and pieces and enjoyed a lovely Italian ice cream in the afternoon. Tomorrow I'm heading in again, the boys are playing golf and myself and Maria are going to do some shopping together :)

Lunch @ Mälarpaviljongen

This morning was lovely so I was actually sunbathing on the balcony for a bit while F went to the driving range at Ulriksdals Golfklubb. I also scrubbed the bathroom (it really needed to be done!) and cleaned up a bit. When F was back we decided to head to Mälarpaviljongen for lunch, I haven't been there at all this year and I always pay that place a visit. It wasn't as warm as it was this morning but we enjoyed a burger and a salad and afterwards we went to café Vurma for a coffee.

This evening we have cleaned up a bit more and it is time to start packing again since we're going to Åland tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to seeing everybody over there and the weather is supposed to be nice on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday :) Hopefully we get to see the kids as well (Elias and Benjamin)!

On Friday it was my birthday - thanks everyone for all the lovely birthday wishes - and F had organized a surprise for me. In the morning he made me breakfast (he baked scones :)) and then we went to Yasuragi Hasseludden for some relaxing time together. I have never been there before and I really enjoyed the time in the water :) The dinner was lovely as well that we had before we went back to our room. I had a lovely birthday with my darling - thanks a lot, I love you! ♥

Wow

This place is amazing, I don’t think you can come much closer to paradise! We’ve been in the Maldives for almost a week now and we are thoroughly enjoying ourselves. We arrived here last Saturday morning after quite a long flight from home. When we landed in Male, the capital of the Maldives, we waited for about an hour before we hopped on a sea plane that was going to take us to Kuredu island where we had booked a beach bungalow for two weeks. Going by a sea plane was really cool and you could see the multiple islands from the sky, it was beautiful. We were greeted with smiles and a welcome drink, then we were shown our bungalow. It is right on the beach and has got everything you need. The bathroom and shower is outdoors on the back of the bungalow ☺

You can’t really complain about anything here; the white sand, the beach, the sea, the friendly people, the lovely food and the beautiful wheather is exactly what we have been dreaming of. On Tuesday night we decided to book an à la carte restaurant called the Beach where we both had lobster on the beach. Unfortunately it started raining that evening so we had to sit under the roof for the rest of the night but it was still an experience I for sure will remember. Fredrik has also gone for a couple of dives and when he went for his ”tune up” dive earlier this week he was lucky to see a huge turtle ☺ Yesterday he went for a longer dive while I was staying at the bungalow and he saw a big variety of fish. Today we had some visitors in the water near our bungalow, we saw a black tip shark and two sting rays!

On Saturday we’re going to a smaller island called Komandoo, we got a free upgrade (sometimes you’re lucky ;)) to a jacuzzi beach villa! We’re staying there for our second week and we’re really looking forward to it. It’s a smaller island, I think it is only about 5-10 mins walk around, compared to a 40 min walk where we are now. But it’s supposed to be really romantic and beautiful there as well. Before we’re heading off to Komandoo we’re gonna go for a snorkelling trip tomorrow morning and also a sunset cruise in the evening where we hope to take some pics of the sunset and get sight of the dolphins around. I can’t say anything bad about this trip, we’re enjoying every minute of being in paradise!

The Maldives

Some of you already know but I haven't told everybody that the place we're going to in March is the Maldives! I have always wanted to go there and for me this is my dream destination. I haven't heard anybody say anything bad about that place so I hope it's as good as it sounds.

We're going for two weeks but it will be another six months before we'll be there. We've booked an all inclusive deal with beach bungalows at the Kuredu Island resort. I really can't wait!
