Pappa

Hittade en fin bild på mig och pappa när vi var på Åland och hade namngivningsfest för Emilia.

Idag är det tisdag och jag ska in till stan eftersom jag har tid för synundersökning. Fredrik och Emilia hänger på och senare ska Emilia och jag till Rösjöbadet med Jossan & Jack samt Lisa och Ludvig :) Ikväll har jag en dejt med Jessica och vi ska ut och äta en god bit mat över ett glas vin och snacka skit. Ser mycket fram emot det!

Crayfish party

Saturday night F and I were invited to Kim & Lisa for a crayfish party. My brother was there as well. I was so looking forward to it as I absolutely love crayfish and don't get to eat it that often. Kim & Lisa had organized it so well with decorations, hats and other food that we all enjoyed together. It's tradition to drink snaps and sing Swedish snaps songs and they had printed out a lot of these songs for us to sing as well. I couldn't drink of course and buying alcohol free snaps wasn't so tempting but I sang with them as loud as I could ;)

We had so much fun together and I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard! I love spending time with these guys because we always have a good time. Thanks for a lovely evening, I hope we get to do something similar soon again!

Time for scrapbooking again

Yesterday, myself and F had a relaxing day - we didn't do anything in particular except going down to the supermarket to buy some crayfish for last night's party that we were invited to. It was so relaxing and I finally took time to do some scrapbooking again. I found a lovely photo of my brother taken at Arlanda airport about 10 years ago when he was doing the compulsory national/military service.

I used a kit from Mollys scrapbooking with material from Bo-Bunny's back to backs. Hopefully I'll have the time to continue doing some more layouts soon again because I really enjoyed it. The sketch (from Svensk Scrapbooking - August challenge) and my interpretation of it you can see below:

Happy Midsummer!

Today is Midsummer's Eve and I woke up this morning greeted by beautiful weather and sunshine :) We're currently getting ready for a nice day with family and friends. The plan is to take part in some Midsummer celebrations at Bromma Kyrka while having a picnic with loads of nice food and a caramel pie for dessert! Later on we're gonna have a barbeque at our place, it looks like the weather is going to be lovely all day - at least here in Stockholm. I've been responsible for the dessert for tonight and started preparing a Midsummer cake already last night. I've never made it before but I think it will be yummie and it includes strawberries of course! What would Midsummer be like without strawberries, hey!?

Helene's Krog

Tonight myself, F, my brother and my parents went to Helene's Krog together for dinner. It was a Christmas present from my parents and my brother and my dad had their birthdays during the week so we thought it'd be a good time to go this weekend. I've never had a bad meal in there and I really like the place. F had never been there but I think he enjoyed it as much as the rest of us did. I'm still full, it was the "little" dessert that topped it off ;)

Earlier on we went to Kista Galleria and now we're just chilling at home. Tomorrow we'll hopefully go to Bromma Golf to play some golf with Marcus & Maria and to check out Lena completing her beginners course ;) It's supposed to be rainy but I hope the rain will be limited so that we can go out there on the golf course and have some fun! I bought some golf clubs during the week that I want to try out as well :)

Bowling and golf

Last night my darling had arranged for a night out and I didn't know what he was up to. We went into town in the evening and ended up at Marions Gastro Diner where we had a game of bowling and then dinner afterwards. We haven't been out and about for a while so I really appreciated it. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed drinks and a very nice dinner. I wasn't that good at the bowling, but really enjoyed it anyway. It was a good workout, he he ;)

Today Maria and I had decided to go to Bromma Golf together to practise a bit and to give the theory test a go. I have been studying the golf rules in the past while in order to be prepared but I was still a bit nervous about it. I thought it was only gonna be multiple answer questions but there were actually ten free text questions and when I first saw them I was a bit shocked. But both myself and Maria did very well and our instructor who corrected the tests said that we almost got a 100% test result. Needless to say we're happy about passing the test! :)

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the golf restaurant before we left for Bromma Blocks. We hardly ever go shopping together anymore and were looking forward to that, but we didn't really find anything. Maria bought a top though and I bought a cardigan but I guess it's better to keep our money instead ;)

Now I'm at home while my baby is at the cinema with a friend. I've been watching the football match between Holland and Denmark and fair play to Denmark for winning!

Christmas Eve 2011

Christmas Eve this year was spent in Vällingby with F and his family. We didn't eat the traditional Christmas food, instead we enjoyed a delicious Korean dinner. It was as good as I remember it :) We went there in the afternoon and started off by watching Donald Duck and his friends on TV while having mulled wine and some gingerbread cookies. After that we prepared the food and then we sat down for dinner. I had a lovely time and laughed a lot, F's family is as mad as my one ;)

American pankcakes

A couple of weeks ago F and I decided to go for a swim on a Sunday and then afterwards, we treated ourselves to a brunch at the popular café Sirap on Surbrunnsgatan. I had never been there before but a lot of people have said it's really good - and it was! We were starving after our swim earlier on and ordered scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, bacon and american pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. We weren't disappointed, it was absolutely gorgeous and I was so full afterwards! ;)

Today I'm so happy for my mam because she's got a new job and starts on the 28th of November! When she was let go from her old job a couple of months ago and started looking, I never thought she was going to get a new permanent job (not because she isn't good, but because of her age). But she has chosen to do this her own way by not listening too much to others. She has not applied for any kind of job, only the ones that she has been interested in that are in the industry she wants to be in. She has actually been called to two interviews and the later one got her this job! I'm really proud of you mam :)

Beef Fondue

Yesterday we were invited for dinner to my parents in Täby since it has been my mam's birthday recently and it is Father's day today. We were served beef fondue and it is one of my favourite dishes :) You cook the beef in oil in a special fondue pot. We had potato wedges with that and a few different sauces, it was so good! F had never had beef fondue before but he really liked it as well.

I had made two cards; one for dad and one for my mam. We gave dad a South African bottle of wine and mam got pictures of me and my brother to hang on the wall. She seemed really happy when she opened her present. It was a lovely evening and we stayed quite late, luckily I got to drink wine since F was driving ;)

This morning we took it easy and watched the repeat of Så mycket bättre on telly. This time it was Timbuktu to be in the headlights, he seems like a really nice guy and he makes great music. There are so many of his songs that I like and the others interpreted his songs very well.

Little sunshine

I just love these kids to bits. Last weekend when we took a trip to Åland we got to play with them a good bit. There is always so much laughter when they're around. Benjamin is such a bundle of energy, he can't sit still for one second. He wears you out, but as soon as you're away from him you miss him like crazy. Elias is getting bigger and bigger and is over 4 months old now. He's always happy, except for when he's hungry, but who wouldn't be in a bad mood then ;) You're able to interact with him more and more as the days go by and I can't wait to see who this little man is going to turn into. Benjamin is so proud of his little brother and gives him hugs and kisses every now and then, it's lovely to see!

Lovely weekend in Åland

Yesterday we went to Åland to join my parents and my relatives. We first drove by my grandparents to have a catch up with them, after that we went to my auntie where Kim, Lisa and the kids were. Benjamin was shy for about a second when he saw me and then we all played together like never before. Elias is getting bigger and bigger, he's 4 months now and such a charming little boy. In the evening it was time for fish soup in the summer house, I think we were 18 people altogether. F has never had the soup before but he wasn't disappointed when he tried it :) The fish soup was yum but it seems like I can't eat fish any longer because my stomach has been in bits all day :(

Now I'm watching True Talent but I should really do my Italian homework. I'll hopefully have time to do that before I go to bed tonight. This week is gonna be hectic and I get tired just thinking about it. I might have to skip choir practice tomorrow night, we'll see how it goes.

I need to buy a new pair of black heels, the ones I have are so uncomfortable. I'd love to find a pair that are not just plain black. I quite like the Whitney Port heels from Bik bok, but they are more for when you're dressing up. Perhaps I can buy two pairs ;)

Mamas and Tapas

A couple of weeks ago my family, Fredrik and I went out for dinner together. We had booked a table at the Mamas and Tapas restaurant in Kungsholmen. The place was crowded as it was a Saturday night but luckily we got a table at the back and we enjoyed the most gorgeous tapas ever. My favourite dish was probably the chorizo, it was so tasty! We all had a lovely time and afterwards my brother left to meet up with a friend of his but my parents, F and I walked across the street and ordered some drinks in the Lokal bar.

My grandparents give us some money every year so that we can go out for dinner together. We tend to go to the same restaurant every single time but this time we chose to eat tapas. I really enjoyed it!
