Melissa concert

On Sunday F and I went to see Melissa Horn at Cirkus in Stockholm. I love Melissa since I heard her sing the first time a few years ago. Her lyrics are sad and she sings from the heart, she is so brilliant at what she does.

This evening she sang a lot of songs from her latest album, Innan jag kände dig. It was a great concert and truly enjoyed it!

When I held ya

I'm in love with this song written by Moa Lignell, who is one of the contestants in Idol on TV4. I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it and that was when she performed it on her audition. You go girl!

Rihanna

Maria and I were lucky that we got to see Rihanna when she performed in Globen on Tuesday night. We were afraid that she was going to cancel since she had cancelled the show in Malmö the night before but luckily she came out and gave us a show to remember. Wow, that girl can really sing! Some songs were better than others but I really enjoyed the concert. Maria and I went there as soon as the Italian class came to an end. F went to pick up his new car on Tuesday morning so he offered to come and pick us up at Gullmarsplan afterwards. Didn't get home until midnight so I was really tired on Wednesday. Luckily I'm off today so this weekend I'm gonna try to catch up on the sleep!

Melissa Horn - Innan jag kände dig

What is it with this girl, she amazes me with all her beautiful songs and lyrics. I love her two albums and can't wait until the new album will be released in September. I'm very much looking forward to seeing her at Circus in Stockholm this autumn. Innan jag kände dig is a brilliant song and I'm positive the other songs on her coming album will be just as good. Go Melissa!

Just doing the last couple of things in work before myself and Jessica are heading into town to meet up with Vickan. We're gonna get a bite to eat and then we're gonna watch the Mare play at Pet Sounds Bar. Our dear colleague Daniel plays in the band and I'm really excited to hear him play :)

The Fame Monster

Enjoyed a great concert in Globen last night, Lady Gaga is a true performer. Had a drink (or two) at Maria's before we left, always nice to catch up with the girls. The weather was still miserable so we had to bring our umbrellas and tried to put warm clothes on but it was still freezing. When we arrived, there were big queues outside so it took about 10 mins before we got in to the arena. Weren't allowed to bring our umbrellas inside so Maria and I lost ours but Lena was clever enough and managed to keep her umbrella in the bag. Lucky for us because it was still raining when we left the place and we would have been soaked otherwise.

Lady Gaga changed outfits (that don't look like anything else you've ever seen before) several times during the show and she performed her biggest hits of course. Bad romance was the final number and we walked (or rather danced) out of there :)

After the concert we stayed in the bar across the street to have a glass of wine so that most people could leave before we jumped on the tube to go to Åse and Björn's house warming party. We only paid them a short visit but it was really nice to see their lovely new apartment. Had a very good Saturday night, hope you did too!
