Lovely day for midsummer

Friday was such an amazing day to celebrate midsummer! We all met up at Camilla's apartment and then went to Bromma Kyrka together where we knew there were going to be some traditional midsummer celebrations. The sun was shining and we found a lovely place in the grass for a picnic. Camilla and Ellinor were responsible for the food and had brought loads of goodies like bread, cheeses, ham, Swedish "skagenröra", herring, melon, strawberries, olives, biscuits etc and to top it off - the most gorgeous caramel cake!!

Needless to say I was stuffed when we walked out of there, just to go to our apartment where we were going to have a BBQ a couple of hours later. We enjoyed more yummy food in the evening and I had been responsible for baking a midsummer cake. Found a great recipe on the web and it turned out pretty well I must say. It was made of a brownie base with daim and then some strawberry mousse on top, topped with some more fresh strawberries ;)

We all had a lovely time together, thanks to everyone for making it happen!

Happy Midsummer!

Today is Midsummer's Eve and I woke up this morning greeted by beautiful weather and sunshine :) We're currently getting ready for a nice day with family and friends. The plan is to take part in some Midsummer celebrations at Bromma Kyrka while having a picnic with loads of nice food and a caramel pie for dessert! Later on we're gonna have a barbeque at our place, it looks like the weather is going to be lovely all day - at least here in Stockholm. I've been responsible for the dessert for tonight and started preparing a Midsummer cake already last night. I've never made it before but I think it will be yummie and it includes strawberries of course! What would Midsummer be like without strawberries, hey!?

Helene's Krog

Tonight myself, F, my brother and my parents went to Helene's Krog together for dinner. It was a Christmas present from my parents and my brother and my dad had their birthdays during the week so we thought it'd be a good time to go this weekend. I've never had a bad meal in there and I really like the place. F had never been there but I think he enjoyed it as much as the rest of us did. I'm still full, it was the "little" dessert that topped it off ;)

Earlier on we went to Kista Galleria and now we're just chilling at home. Tomorrow we'll hopefully go to Bromma Golf to play some golf with Marcus & Maria and to check out Lena completing her beginners course ;) It's supposed to be rainy but I hope the rain will be limited so that we can go out there on the golf course and have some fun! I bought some golf clubs during the week that I want to try out as well :)

Bowling and golf

Last night my darling had arranged for a night out and I didn't know what he was up to. We went into town in the evening and ended up at Marions Gastro Diner where we had a game of bowling and then dinner afterwards. We haven't been out and about for a while so I really appreciated it. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed drinks and a very nice dinner. I wasn't that good at the bowling, but really enjoyed it anyway. It was a good workout, he he ;)

Today Maria and I had decided to go to Bromma Golf together to practise a bit and to give the theory test a go. I have been studying the golf rules in the past while in order to be prepared but I was still a bit nervous about it. I thought it was only gonna be multiple answer questions but there were actually ten free text questions and when I first saw them I was a bit shocked. But both myself and Maria did very well and our instructor who corrected the tests said that we almost got a 100% test result. Needless to say we're happy about passing the test! :)

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the golf restaurant before we left for Bromma Blocks. We hardly ever go shopping together anymore and were looking forward to that, but we didn't really find anything. Maria bought a top though and I bought a cardigan but I guess it's better to keep our money instead ;)

Now I'm at home while my baby is at the cinema with a friend. I've been watching the football match between Holland and Denmark and fair play to Denmark for winning!

Me and my bump

Woke up this morning after a long good night's sleep. Had promised my darling to make a nice breakfast so I got up and started preparing for some waffles. They were served with a lot of nice fruit like kiwis, strawberries, mango, grapes and banana and also jam and cream. With that we had tea and coffee and we watched the film Hamilton with Michael Persbrandt.

I feel so sorry for all of the runners today that are out there running Stockholm Marathon. I had wanted to go into town to watch them but with the weather like this, I'd rather stay at home. I'm thinking about Lina and Hilton who I cheered for last year, they'll do brilliantly! In a minute I'm gonna have a shower and then we're gonna head to the recycling station in Bromma. I'm gonna go by my apartment to clean out the kitchen as well, F and I are just gonna keep the nice stuff.

Thought I'd show you a picture of me and my little bump, it's slowly starting to show now. On Monday I'm in week 20 so I'm halfway there :) In the last couple of days I've started feeling the movements in my stomach a bit better than previously. It feels like a little butterfly is living in there ;) It's so exciting, it's mostly in the evenings I can feel it but even throughout the day and it's tickling :)

Vigårda

Today after work I had decided to meet up with Ellinor, we haven't seen each other since November. Time's flying, can't believe it has been so long. Anyway, we agreed to meet up at the Mood shopping centre to find somewhere to eat, we chose to go to Vigårda Barbeque. I've never been there before but it's a fast food restaurant with food of higher quality than any other fast food restaurant, it's not exactly like McDonalds. You pick the meat you want, choose something to go with it like a potato salad or chips for example and then you also get to pick a dressing. I loved it, it was all really tasty! Ellinor and I got to catch up properly as well while enjoying our yummy food.

Now I'm back in the apartment again, I'm really tired today so I think I'm gonna go to bed shortly. By the way, I started this morning by going out for a 45 minute walk, it felt really good. Hopefully I'll manage to do this more often because I really need to exercise more than I do today!

Sunshine

Don't you just love the first few days every spring/summer when you can have lunch outside in the sun and it's so hot that you don't need a jumper or a jacket. This week has been absolutely amazing when it comes to the weather, well it started last weekend really and it doesn't seem to stop yet :) Today I'm working from home and for lunch I met up with Sofia and her little girl J. She's such a cutie!! She wasn't sure what she was going to think of me at first, but after talking to her for a while and keeping my distance she gave me a smile :) We went to Nybergs restaurant at Sundbybergs torg and I enjoyed a lovely prawn sallad in the sun. There were loads of people there that enjoyed the sun as much as we did.

Tonight we're heading into town to go to the theatre, Stadsteatern to be exact. We're gonna see The three musketeers and I'm really looking forward to it. It's a Christmas present that we got from my parents. Before it starts we're gonna go for dinner at TGI Fridays, haven't been there for a while so it should be nice.

Ballerina Closet

I always end up buying shoes in the spring, even though I beforehand say that I don't need any. But the fact is that you always do, because a lot of shoes that you wear in the spring/summer time get worn out. Anyway, I already checked out Ballerina Closet last year but didn't get anything from their website. This year I decided to buy three pairs (since you get a 300 SEK discount then)! The most difficult thing was to choose which ones to get since all of the colors and patterns are lovely, I could seriously buy them all :) But after a bit of consideration I picked "Coney Mint Stories", "Pistachio Scoops" and "I say yes". I love them!

9 holes became 18

Today we had agreed with M & M to play nine holes at Bromma Golf since at least myself and Maria need to practice after the course we took two weeks ago. Our official start time was 10:20 but we all met up before that to warm up at the range. I was a bit nervous since it was my first time playing, but I thoroughly enjoyed it especially since the weather was really good today. I didn't play that well, but it was certainly good to practice. We were quite tired after the nine holes so we decided to have lunch there out in the sun. I had a lovely prawn sallad and then coffee after that :)

After a bit of rest we started thinking about playing the nine holes again (since they don't have 18 holes at Bromma Golf, you're allowed to do the nine holes a second time) and after a bit of consideration that's what we decided to do. I did some better shots this time around but towards the end I was really really tired and found it quite difficult to focus. Tonight F has gone out for a few beers and I'm left in the apartment. I'm gonna sleep really well tonight I tell ya, but first it's time for a film. I just don't know which one to pick yet ;)

You get 5 beauty products to try out and I received my first box a little while ago. One thing that was in the box this time was Garnier's BB cream that I've seen so many ads about. Now I'm using it every day and I really like it! :)

Valborg celebrations

A couple of weeks ago, on the 30th of April to be exact, myself, F and a few of our friends celebrated Valborg together in our apartment in Sundbyberg. It was time to leave the long winter behind and welcome the spring! We had a barbeque dinner and enjoyed a lot of nice food. It was lovely to have them over and I think we sat around the table chatting until 1:30am the next morning :) We didn't go to any bonfire like a lot of other people do, we were happy to stay inside as it was quite cold outside. Needless to say I was stuffed at the end of the night!
