Can't wait for our Italian adventure to begin :)

Woke up this morning and realised that we're flying to Italy today, weeee! :) We've been planning and talking about this trip for such a long time now but finally the time has come and I just can't wait. I'm longing for some sun, nice food and wine, beautiful places and views and the Italian language!! I'm getting to do all this with the best company as well :)

Currently packing all my little summer dresses, skirts and sandals. Bringing the sun cream of course, the weather better be good but I'm not sure it can be bad in Italy in July/August. We're flying from Skavsta airport, the flight is at 17:30 so we're not getting there too late. I'm getting really excited about it all now!

Hopefully I will get to some internet cafés while I'm down there as I would like to update you on how our trip is going if possible. I promise to take a lot of photos as well, bringing my beautiful baby - my Canon EOS 1000D ;)

Time to hit the pillow, have to get up early tomorrow morning to pack for Italy. Getting really excited about it now, can't wait to see all the different places we're going to. I really look forward to enjoying the sunny weather, amazing views, great food and wine etc. Good night!

Look into the future

Sometimes I wish that it would be possible to look into the future. I don't want to know everything, of course, but I would like to get a hint of what is to come. It would be nice to get some guidance and to know if it's all worth it in the end..

Walk with Maria

Getting ready to go out for a walk with Maria. Need to get out to get some fresh air and the sun is out to play today :) We're gonna head to Alvik to pick up my dvd-boxes, I thought I was pickng them up yesterday but it was a Mary Kay product that I've been waiting for since I ordered those products from Lina. When I came home from Alvik yesterday I had received another notification in the post to pick up the dvd-boxes - typical!

Had a fantastic evening yesterday, didn't want it to end!

Joshua Radin at Debaser

I'm so happy right now, have just bought tickets to go and see Joshua Radin. He will play in Stockholm at Debaser on 30th of September. I went to see him play there last autumn and I loved him. Don't think I will be disappointed this time either ;) If anyone wants to join, you can get tickets on Tickster.

Relaxing Monday

Slept really well last night so got up feeling great ;) Need to hoover the apartment big time so that's the first thing on the agenda for today. Gonna walk to Alvik to pick up the contact lenses that I ordered and I think that my dvd-boxes are ready to be picked up there too. I have watched the third season of Brothers & Sisters and you can only pre-book the fourth season so in the mean time I decided to watch Grey's Anatomy season 5 as I didn't follow it on tv and also the first season of True Blood. I have only watched a couple of episodes of True Blood a long time ago so I'm really curious about it now :)

Listening to music while having breakfast now. Talked to Robin last week about music cause I was telling him that we had been to see Melissa at Mosebacke and he didn't know who it was. He then recommended Marina and the diamonds and I must say I really like her album, especially the song "I am not a robot". There are so many good artists out there but you don't even know half of them.

Looking forward to tonight when my dear colleague is coming over to keep me company. Don't know what we're having for dinner, I didn't have to worry about it apparently :)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Since a couple of years back I have used Urban Decays primer potion before applying eye shadow, I wouldn't dream of not using it now - I'm addicted! Unfortunately, it seems to be difficult to get hold of it in Sweden so I've been searching for a substitute. After looking around for a while, I've now decided to try out the primer from Too Faced. Fingers crossed and it will work wonders in the same way!

Pink - a power house

Back from a great weekend in Gothenburg with Maria, just chilling out on the couch now :) Went down with the train early on Friday and got there at lunch time. When we booked our hotel months ago we were sure it was gonna be a hotel in the city centre but when I looked it up just before we were gonna go I realised that it was located in Hisings backa. Printed a map but even though we could see that it was quite a distance to the hotel, Maria and I were determined to walk there with our bags as soon as we had arrived... An hour and 15 mins later we were both thirsty, grumpy, tired, hungry and had very sore feet!!! Ha ha, after that we jumped on the bus every time we needed to get in to or out of town ;)

We came to Ullevi at around 19:00 and it was quite cold that evening. Three different bands were supporting acts to Pink, we missed the first one but got to see Good Charlotte and Takida. Pink didn't come on until 21:30 so it was quite a long wait but it was worth it. The concert was absolutely brilliant and she gave it loads from start to finish. It was one of the best concerts I've been to, she was really really good and I didn't want it to end!

Finally on holidays!!!

Finally I've worked my last day before my holidays, now I'm off until the 9th of August and it feels great :) Starting off by going down to Gothenburg early tomorrow morning. Maria and I are going down there for the weekend and tomorrow night we're going to see Pink play at Ullevi stadion. It was exactly a year ago we were there to see U2 and that was a fantastic weekend. Lets hope that this weekend will be as good, or even better ;) When we looked at the weather forecast earlier on this week, all we could see for Gothenburg was rain, rain and rain. Now it seems like we're not getting any rain at all which is great! Really looking forward to the concert tomorrow evening, I've never seen Pink live before. I'd say she's good!

We don't know what we're doing for the rest of the weekend and we said we're gonna try and stay out of the shops but I don't know if that is possible. We're quite talented when it comes to shopping ;) Hopefully I won't be buying that much stuff though because I need to save my money for Italy and that trip is just around the corner as well. Happy days!

Birthday pressies

Got loads of lovely birthday pressies yesterday from my wonderful friends, I didn't expect that at all. I was just really happy that they wanted to join me for dinner :) Lena had bought me the pink bowl that I fell in love with a few weeks back when we did some shopping in town, I have even put it up on my blog. When I had unwrapped the present and saw what it was I was very happy :) From Maria I received two lovely friends bracelets from Kyssjohanna and she had also made a bracelet herself in pink, love them all! I also got lovely stuff for my bathroom, a photo book/album, a butterfly necklace and everyone brought such cute birthday cards. Thanks a million girls, you are so sweet all of you!

Fantastic evening

Had a fantastic dinner at Caliente with the best group of friends; the food was tasty, I got lovely presents, we got to sit outside and I was happy! Thanks everyone, what a great birthday.x

Happy birthday to me :)

It's my birthday today and I've received so many lovely birthday wishes already :) Working unfortunately but I'm soon heading over to Maria's. We're gonna have a glass of rosé on her balcony before we head into town for dinner at Caliente. Not that many people are in Stockholm at this time of the year, but more friends than I thought wanted to come and celebrate me on my day :) Happy days, I'm looking forward to it!

Lovely little Melissa

I loooooove Melissa Horn and her music and after her concert this evening at Mosebacke I can't say I love her any less. She has a lovely voice and sings her songs perfectly! It was a lovely summer evening and lots of people had gathered around the stage. A few lucky people sat on the balconies across from the stage, talk about perfect view ;) Melissa played for about 1 hr 20 mins and I enjoyed every minute of it, hope to see her soon again!

Early birthday dinner

Just back home from my parents, they had an early birthday dinner for me tonight and I got some pressies :) (The best pressie must have been the bottle of Chardonnay that comes in a box that looks like a handbag) The food was lovely as always when I'm over there, we sat outside even though it was definitely cooler this evening. It's mad, it's about 21-22degrees and it feels cold now just because we're so used to the heat from the previous weeks.

Haven't done that much today, tried to continue cleaning up in my apartment. Will have to do another bit tonight before I go to bed. Wonder if I can sleep tonight, managed to sleep til 11 o'clock this morning so I'm not that tired. But I need to get up early enough tomorrow to go to work so lets hope for the best.

OBH Nordica sandwich maker

Thinking of buying an OBH Nordica sandwich maker, I love the red colour. I already have a kettle, a toast maker and a coffee maker from the same series. Jessica told me the other day something that is really nice to make. She said to fry some chicken pieces in a pan and then mix them with the sweet chilli sauce. Then put them on a slice of bread and spread cheese over it, put the other slice on top and grill the sandwich in the sandwich maker. After a few mins in the grill you have a very tasty sandwich :) Have to try it out!

The rain is coming

So the weather forecast says that it's gonna be raining tonight. I was really looking forward to do some sunbathing this weekend since I've been working during the week but the weather didn't think so apparently :(

Thinking about what to do today and I think I definitely have to start cleaning up and going through drawers, boxes etc. You tend to collect so much stuff but it takes up too much space so I have to go through it all to see how much of it that I can throw away. I've been meaning to do this for so long now...

Had a nice evening yesterday, myself and Jens went to Mälarpaviljongen for dinner and drinks. He had a cheeseburger and I had the halloumiburger :D I don't get to see my brother to often so it was nice to catch up again!

My dear bike

I think it's time to use my bike, so I've decided to cycle to Fredhäll to meet up with Jessica this evening. We're going for a swim first and then we're heading to Solstugan for dinner and drinks. Some of our colleagues are also joining us, looking forward to it :)

BBQ with Lina, Hilton and Kian

Went over to Lina's last night to enjoy a lovely bbq dinner. We had salmon, potatoes and sallad and sat outside. Kian went off to play football while we were catching up, he's so grown up now - such a cutie! I remember when I moved back home to Sweden and he was only 8 months old, now he's 5 and going to pre school this autumn.

After a while we decided to go up to the apartment to escape the mosquitos ;) We had strawberries and ice cream for dessert and sat out on the balcony drinking rose wine. One can't complain!

Midweek

Wednesday today. Slept well last night for once, I managed to get a bit of air into the bedroom and slept much better. When I woke up this morning it was cloudy and it didn't feel that warm, but the sun is starting to shine now so it's gonna be roasting again! I'm not complaining, just saying ;)

Wanna go for a run again but since I'm heading over to Lina this evening for a bbq it probably won't be until tomorrow. Haven't been to the gym for a good while either so I'm gonna try to go and do some weights soon.

Really need to clean up in my apartment again, I don't know how it gets so messy. I mean I'm not a messy person, right!? ;) But now - back to work!

Mälarpaviljongen

And the heat stays on...! Had decided to go out for a run this morning before it started to get too hot, but didn't get out until 9:30 and believe me - it was hot! Ran about 5 kms but it was really hard and I was sweating like a pig ;) If I'm going out for a run again it will have to be in the evening, it's not healthy to run in this heat!

Worked from home today as well and did one of the courses. The course was supposed to take about 3 hours but I think it took me nearly 5 hours altogether. Hard to concentrate in this heat as well. After work I met up with the girls at Mälarpaviljongen where we had dinner and dessert in the sun. I'm enjoying these evenings so much and try to take it all in. It's lovely to be able to sit outside at 9pm only in shorts and a top!

Maria cycled home from Mälarpaviljongen and gave me a lift (when we were going downhill ;)). Right now I'm watching "So you think you can dance", I love that show. Wish I could dance like them, they're amazing!

Hot hot hot

I can't believe it is so hot, last night at around half ten it was still 26 degrees outside. I was sitting in my couch in my underwear as it was so hot and today is the same :)

Met up with Maria today at lunch time and we went out for a walk. It was so nice to see her again, I've missed my little M! We were catching up as we were walking and when we came back we decided to book a hotel in Sirmione at lake Garda for two nights. Now it's done and we're so looking forward to our Italy trip. We tried to book our train tickets as well but something went wrong when I was going to make the payment. Luckily I'm in contact with Italiarail and they're booking our train tickets for us as we speak :)

This evening Maria and I went to Ängbybadet and it was so nice, first time in the Swedish water for me this summer ;) We just relaxed in the sun for a couple of hours but then it was time to head home for dinner!

Thought I would show you the Lindex trousers that I bought yesterday. I'm looking forward to wearing them but if the weather is going to continue like this, it will be a while before I jump into them!

Holland vs Spain

Getting ready to watch the World Cup final between Holland and Spain. I hope that Spain wins and I think they will even though Holland is a great team as well. Paul the octopus has predicted Spain to win and he's been right before :)

Today has been a very hot day and it's now roasting in my apartment even though I have several windows open. I went out sunbathing earlier on but I could only do it for a couple of hours since it was so hot. Took a trip to Solna Centrum in the afternoon and found my perfect green pair of trousers when I went into Lindex :)

Tomorrow I'm gonna work from home and try to do a lot of courses that I need to do before this autumn. Maria and I are gonna meet up as well since we still need to book a few things for our Italy trip. Haven't seen her for over 2 weeks, time is flying! Thinking of heading to Ängbybadet for lunch perhaps, want to go swimming. Seems like the heatwave is gonna stay in Sweden and it's gonna be around 30 degrees the next couple of days. Can't complain!

Saturday

Woke up when Lena texted me this morning at around 10, she was wondering if I wanted to come along to the beach :) Of course I wanted to join! Had a bit of breakfast, grabbed my things and then we headed to Ängbybadet. As soon as we arrived it started getting cloudy and the sun just didn't want to come out :( It was really warm though and M jumped into the water before we decided to head home again. Oh, and I almost forgot.. While we were sunbathing we suddenly hear this really loud scream and we turn our heads to try to see where it's coming from. A woman across the road is there with her dog. Apparently the dog has gone beserk at the sight of a cat and the poor cat got killed. Scary!

For the rest of the day I haven't been doing much, went to Kista Galleria to pick up my Thomas Sabo ring that I have been waiting for, for about 2 months now. It is finally back on my finger and if you're wondering if I'm happy about it the answer is - YES! Pity I forgot my other ring at Copenhagen airport a while back, it really sucks to be honest and I'm so mad at myself for leaving it behind. I will just have to save some money so that I can buy the same ring again, I absolutely adored that ring..

While in Kista I had a look around in the shops and bought a lovely dress from Vero Moda, it was on sale so I got 50% off. I'm currently trying to find a green pair of trousers (skinny fit) and I've tried on a few but still haven't found the perfect pair. You can buy a pair at asos.com and they are quite nice but it is so hard to know which size to order so I think I will just have to wait and see for the time being.

Had a lovely time last night with Louise, we went to Strandbryggan for dinner and drinks. I had a lovely Ceasar sallad with prawns and avocado and Louise had a burger. We both treated ourselves to dessert and had carrot cake & coffee while catching up with each other :)

Now time for football, Uruguay vs Germany. I reckon Germany is going to win but you never know!

Dagens man

Watching "Dagens man" on tv4play right now since my lovely little brother participated in the show. He looked so well and the girls liked him. I'm a proud sister! :)

AW with Louise

Finished work a bit earlier today and decided to head into the Brittinger/Clas Göran sale at Fridhemsgatan as I really wanted to get a grey hoodie that Lena also bought when we were there the last time. Believe it or not but they only had one left (when Lena and I were there they had about 20!!) and the one that was left was in size small. I grabbed it as quickly as I could and tried it on and it fitted me perfectly :) The original price was 999 SEK but got 70% off, I'm so happy with my new hoodie.

Heading into town in a little while for AW with Louise. Haven't seen her since Midsummer's Eve so will be nice to catch up with her. She's going on vacation now (as many others this Friday) but she has a bit of work to do still so we're meeting up at 19:00.

Lars Winnerbäck

Bought a ticket for the Lars Winnerbäck concert later on this summer in Långholmsparken. It is taking place on the 8th of August. I'm coming back from Italy on Saturday the 7th so it will be a nice ending to my holidays :) Jessica and some of her friends are going so I decided to come along as I really like his music!

Gonna meet up with Jessica in Fredhäll in a few minutes, gonna do some sunbathing and then head to "Solstugan" to grab something to eat. I just love the evenings in the summer when the weather is like this :)

Run around Kungsholmen

Just back from being at Jessica's. We decided to go for a run together after work and ran around Kungsholmen, it is about 10km. It went well but my legs are really sore now. I'm really glad I did it though cause I need to get back into the running, it's about time if I'm gonna be able to run "Midnattsloppet" in August.

After the run Jessica made me some pasta and we watched the football. I was so sure that Germany was going to win but Spain managed to score the only goal, they were so happy to be in the final!
