Little sunshine

I just love these kids to bits. Last weekend when we took a trip to Åland we got to play with them a good bit. There is always so much laughter when they're around. Benjamin is such a bundle of energy, he can't sit still for one second. He wears you out, but as soon as you're away from him you miss him like crazy. Elias is getting bigger and bigger and is over 4 months old now. He's always happy, except for when he's hungry, but who wouldn't be in a bad mood then ;) You're able to interact with him more and more as the days go by and I can't wait to see who this little man is going to turn into. Benjamin is so proud of his little brother and gives him hugs and kisses every now and then, it's lovely to see!

Winter tyres on

Today I woke up with a vicious headache, I didn't get home until 3:15 this morning after dancing away at Garbo's in Sundbyberg with my colleagues. I didn't drink that much last night but it was apparently enough for me to feel like crap this morning. Got up at 9:30, took two painkillers a drank lots of water. After about an hour or so I started feeling a bit better.

After watching the Idol repeat on TV, we went out to my parents in Täby where my dad helped me fit the winter tyres to my car. I thought it'd be a good idea doing it now, before the snow starts falling. Afterwards we all had coffee and cinnamon buns together (Note: I made the cinnamon buns myself last week and brought them over).

When I flew back from Copenhagen on Thursday night, I couldn't resist buying a new handbag. I needed a bigger sized bag as I'm carrying around so much stuff lately like the Italian books and everything. This handbag is a Mimic Copenhagen bag and I fell in love as soon as I laid my eyes on it. It's black and I love the stars! It doesn't look exactly as on the picture above, the shape of it is slightly different.

At the moment we're cooking our Saturday dinner, we're having steak with roasted potatoes and vegetables (including my favourite; beetroot). I'm also having a glass of red even though I said I wouldn't drink alcohol today. Later on we're gonna watch Så mycket bättre on TV, I loved it last season so I hope it will be as good again. Silver shoes

I just love these silver shoes from Topshop, it's not something I'd normally wear but I think they're really cool. So they will be part of my fashion pick for today. Today's Friday and I'm so happy the weekend is here. I'm quite tired since I've been in Denmark for two days and had to get up so early on the Wednesday when I was flying there. Tonight it's time for AW with my colleagues. It has been a while since I joined them so I'm really looking forward to it. The plan is to go out afterwards, I can't even remember the last time I was out in town on a Friday or a Saturday night. Today I'd dress like this if I could. I got up really early this morning to fly to Copenhagen, it was raining when I got here and has been raining all day. Right now I'm sitting in the hotel room dreaming about all the lovely clothes I'd like to buy if I had the money. I'm gonna take a shower in a minute and then head straight to bed.

Lovely weekend in Åland

Yesterday we went to Åland to join my parents and my relatives. We first drove by my grandparents to have a catch up with them, after that we went to my auntie where Kim, Lisa and the kids were. Benjamin was shy for about a second when he saw me and then we all played together like never before. Elias is getting bigger and bigger, he's 4 months now and such a charming little boy. In the evening it was time for fish soup in the summer house, I think we were 18 people altogether. F has never had the soup before but he wasn't disappointed when he tried it :) The fish soup was yum but it seems like I can't eat fish any longer because my stomach has been in bits all day :(

Now I'm watching True Talent but I should really do my Italian homework. I'll hopefully have time to do that before I go to bed tonight. This week is gonna be hectic and I get tired just thinking about it. I might have to skip choir practice tomorrow night, we'll see how it goes.

I need to buy a new pair of black heels, the ones I have are so uncomfortable. I'd love to find a pair that are not just plain black. I quite like the Whitney Port heels from Bik bok, but they are more for when you're dressing up. Perhaps I can buy two pairs ;)

Almost Friday

Thank God this week is coming to an end, I'm dying to have a couple of days off again :) I'm soon heading to bed and when I wake up it's gonna be Friday! This morning I got up quite early and went to the gym before work. It was such a nice start of the day and I managed to run for 45 minutes on the treadmill. I wish I was a morning person so that I could get up like this more often but unfortunately I'm not. I would've liked to go to the gym tomorrow at lunch as well but since I have a meeting with the lawyers in the afternoon I better just take a short lunch break.

Today has been quite a hectic day in work, to keep my energy levels up I tried the new Magnum while having my afternoon coffee. I love the size of this Magnum, it's not as big as the other ones. This one is with white chocolate and nuts and I really liked it :)

On Saturday we're  going to Åland again, we're having fish soup in the summer house together with the relatives. We do this every year and now the time has come to close the summer house for the winter, it's a tradition we have and I'm really looking forward to it!

Breakfast ready!

Every single morning my darling makes breakfast for me. I get up before him since I need more time to get ready, but I'm never ever ready in time to make us breakfast. This is what was served to me this morning :)

Apparently he didn't have the time to have breakfast himself (I'm getting worried he's getting too stressed) but still he took the time to make me breakfast. I love my darling!

I'm so bad at blogging right now, I just never seem to have a minute over. I don't know where the time goes, it feels like it's Monday and Friday, Monday and Friday. On Mondays I have choir practice and on Tuesdays I learn Italian. Wednesdays and Thursdays I'm free but then there is always something else I need to do. I never seem to be able to just go home and relax.

Today after work I went by my apartment to pick up some more stuff to bring over to F. I've moved in to his place now, it just didn't feel right to stay longer in my apartment after I had made it ready for photography and then selling it. When we found out about the problem with the bathroom and realized that it will take some time to sort it out, we both felt that the right thing was for me to move in with F in his apartment. So now I'm here and it feels great to come home to my darling every day after work :)

Since my complaint of the bathroom renovation was dismissed by the contractor in question, I have decided to take legal action. On Friday I'm meeting with two lawyers and I'm hoping that it will be a good meeting and that we can move forward. F is coming with me and it feels so good to have his support. I have good days and bad days but I know we're gonna be able to sort it out sooner or later. F and I will just have to put off our plans to buy something new for a while!

Last boat trip for the season

Last weekend we took the last boat trip for the season when we moved the boat from Fisksätra over to Margeretelundsvarvet in Bromma. F is going to have the boat in Bromma over the winter instead of Dalarö where he had it last year. It's gonna be much nicer as it will be closer and we can keep an eye on it in a better way. It was about 10 degrees last Saturday so it wasn't very warm. My brother joined us as well and the three of us were freezing when we finally arrived at Margeretelundsvarvet :)

Tomorrow we're gonna make the boat ready for the winter so we have a bit of work ahead of us. Luckily the weather forecast looks good for the weekend with warm winds and a bit of sunshine :) I also have to do my homework for the Italian course, I reckon I will have to spend a few hours on it. Tonight I'm meeting up with Ellinor, Camilla and Maria for an after work at restaurant 1900 - I'm looking forward to it!

Mamas and Tapas

A couple of weeks ago my family, Fredrik and I went out for dinner together. We had booked a table at the Mamas and Tapas restaurant in Kungsholmen. The place was crowded as it was a Saturday night but luckily we got a table at the back and we enjoyed the most gorgeous tapas ever. My favourite dish was probably the chorizo, it was so tasty! We all had a lovely time and afterwards my brother left to meet up with a friend of his but my parents, F and I walked across the street and ordered some drinks in the Lokal bar.

My grandparents give us some money every year so that we can go out for dinner together. We tend to go to the same restaurant every single time but this time we chose to eat tapas. I really enjoyed it!

Congratulations Sweden

I'm so HAPPY right now, I never thought that Sweden would win against the Netherlands tonight - not in my wildest dreams. But they proved me wrong and they were playing really really well. What a free kick from Kim Källström to start with, it was just perfect! I can't complain about the penalty kick by Larsson and the following goal by Toivonen either. Everybody in the team fought so hard every single minute of the match and I'm so proud to be Swedish today ;)

Earlier tonight Maria and I went to our third Italian lesson and it's fun I must say but you have to work pretty hard to be able to keep up with it. I've got a lot of homework to do until next week and better start with it soon :)

Tomorrow it's Wednesday already, I have one meeting on the agenda and the rest of the time I'm gonna work really hard to get a lot of open points done. Had a chat with the boss earlier today and he shared his thoughts on what I should be spending my time on in the next two quarters, I'm actually looking forward to it!

I couldn't help myself today when I was in Kista Galleria, I bought a sweater that practically jumped on me ;) I love their description of it as well:

I've had quite a good day, got a good bit done in work and I also had the time to go to the gym. I wasn't keen on going down when I was thinking about it this morning but luckily Petra asked me to come with her :) After work it was time for my second Italian lesson. Maria and I decided to learn Italian this autumn so we registered for a beginners course at the ABF House. I love the Italian language and it would be so nice to know a few more phrases that I hopefully could use the next time we're going to Italy!

After the course I decided to go to Kista Galleria for a while, I needed to get away and do something else. When I come to think of it, perhaps it wasn't the brightest idea since I'm not supposed to do any shopping (at least not as much shopping as I've done in the past). I must say I'm doing quite well but I don't think I'd survive if I wasn't allowed to buy something once in a while!

What a (horrible) week

Thank God this week has come to an end, it has not been the best week of my life and I feel drained! It started off with the fact that F and I had found a lovely apartment that we wanted to buy but after a bit of consideration we decided not to go for it. That was the fourth apartment we had set our eyes on and therefore we felt a bit low after that. On Tuesday I got the photographs of my apartment from the estate agent, they were really good so I was extremely happy about that. But that happiness was quickly overshadowed when I found out that the bathroom I renovated in 2009 has not been done correctly. The waterproofing has not been done in a proper way and that basically means that everything has to be torn up in order to have it done from the beginning - all over again!

This is definitely the worst case scenario and now we've done our best to re-charge our batteries this weekend to have the energy to take this up with the contractors. Wish us luck! We have to put everything else on hold for the moment and just deal with this. After that we can continue with the plans of selling my apartment and we'll pick up the apartment hunt again.

On top of this I got a really bad cold this week, luckily I'm on the mend now. I was really upset this week and my darling has been so supportive, I don't know what I would've done without him. I feel bad as this is taking a lot of energy out of us both. To cheer him up a bit and to show him how much I appreciate his support I bought him some flowers on Friday and cooked him dinner. We went out with the boat yesterday as well which was really nice. Hopefully this week coming will be better than the last one, I don't want to go through all that ever again!
