Melissa concert

On Sunday F and I went to see Melissa Horn at Cirkus in Stockholm. I love Melissa since I heard her sing the first time a few years ago. Her lyrics are sad and she sings from the heart, she is so brilliant at what she does.

This evening she sang a lot of songs from her latest album, Innan jag kände dig. It was a great concert and truly enjoyed it!

New haircut

On Saturday I had an appointment with my hairdresser at Hammarby Sjöstad and this time I had decided I wanted to get rid of a lot of my hair. Even though I like my long hair I just wanted to cut it shorter and to try a new hairstyle. This is the result. I'm so happy as it's a lot lighter and it will be easier to wash and blow dry my hair. I think F was a bit worried when I said I was going to cut it "short" but he seems quite pleased with the result :)

Sea life

Another layout that I created last weekend was for the Svensk Scrapbooking challenge. I used some photos from when we're out with the boat this summer. The material is from Molly's scrapbooking kit for November. I hope I'll find some more time for scrapbooking soon because I really enjoyed spending time on it last weekend!

Badminton

F and I have started exercising at the weekends and it's really enjoyable. I normally go to the gym as much as I can during the week (2-3 times) but it's more difficult to go at the weekends, especially when F don't go to any gym right now. If he doesn't go, I don't wanna go either ;) But in the last month, we've been swimming, going out for walks and playing badminton. I haven't played badminton since I went to high school and I had forgotten how much fun it was to play. F is quite good at it so I was running around like crazy while we were playing. It's all good though, the more I run - the more calories I burn! ;)

Mollys November Challenge

This weekend I've spent a few hours on scrapbooking and I've really enjoyed it. I went to pick up the latest kit from Mollys scrapbooking on Friday and when I opened to see what it entailed I just couldn't wait to get going. I decided to take on the challenge for November and the theme is journalling. I did a layout with a photo from when I surprised F in June this year with dinner in town. It was a lovely summer's night and we stayed the night in Hotel Anglais, had champagne and really enjoyed each other's company. It was a night to remember!

Dinner and Guitar hero

On Friday night F and I had invited Petra & Mattias over for dinner. Even though I see Petra almost every day in work, it's nice to meet up outside work and to catch up properly. I hadn't seen Mattias since we visited them in the archipelago this summer. It was a lovely evening and they seemed to like the food ;) We cooked a french stew with walnuts that we tried out for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I must say it has become one of my favourites. After dinner, a lot of chatting, whiskey and wine we decided to play guitar hero - world tour. We played until the early hours in the morning and had a really good time :)

Today myself and F went to Sundbybergs simhall to do some swimming again, it was really nice. Finally I have also had time for some scrapbooking and I have done two layouts and a card this weekend. I should really be doing my Italian homework right now but I think I'm leaving that for tomorrow ;)

American pankcakes

A couple of weeks ago F and I decided to go for a swim on a Sunday and then afterwards, we treated ourselves to a brunch at the popular café Sirap on Surbrunnsgatan. I had never been there before but a lot of people have said it's really good - and it was! We were starving after our swim earlier on and ordered scrambled eggs, sausages, toast, bacon and american pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. We weren't disappointed, it was absolutely gorgeous and I was so full afterwards! ;)

Today I'm so happy for my mam because she's got a new job and starts on the 28th of November! When she was let go from her old job a couple of months ago and started looking, I never thought she was going to get a new permanent job (not because she isn't good, but because of her age). But she has chosen to do this her own way by not listening too much to others. She has not applied for any kind of job, only the ones that she has been interested in that are in the industry she wants to be in. She has actually been called to two interviews and the later one got her this job! I'm really proud of you mam :)

What you can do with a shoe lace

This morning I didn't know what to wear, even though I have a lot of clothes it sometimes feels like I have nothing to put on. I like to wear blouses so after a bit of thinking I decided to put on a white blouse from H&M, but to make it a little bit more interesting I used one of F's shoe laces and made a bow.

Beef Fondue

Yesterday we were invited for dinner to my parents in Täby since it has been my mam's birthday recently and it is Father's day today. We were served beef fondue and it is one of my favourite dishes :) You cook the beef in oil in a special fondue pot. We had potato wedges with that and a few different sauces, it was so good! F had never had beef fondue before but he really liked it as well.

I had made two cards; one for dad and one for my mam. We gave dad a South African bottle of wine and mam got pictures of me and my brother to hang on the wall. She seemed really happy when she opened her present. It was a lovely evening and we stayed quite late, luckily I got to drink wine since F was driving ;)

This morning we took it easy and watched the repeat of Så mycket bättre on telly. This time it was Timbuktu to be in the headlights, he seems like a really nice guy and he makes great music. There are so many of his songs that I like and the others interpreted his songs very well.

Tower Heist

Yesterday I went to Filmstaden Råsunda to see Tower Heist with my work colleagues. I didn't know what to expect but I actually really enjoyed the film. It's always nice to the cinema after work!

Right now I'm lying in bed and I'm getting really tired. Hopefully I'll be able to read a couple of pages in the book One Day that I have borrowed. Everybody says that the book is so good so now I've decided to read it and afterwards I'm gonna go and see the film.

Earlier on my darling and I discussed the different clothes piles you create when doing the laundry. He explained that he is always dividing his clothes into three piles; one for the clothes he's gonna wash at 60 degrees, one for dark colours and one for lighter colours. When I looked at the piles I saw my beige trousers and my beige cardigan in the dark clothes pile!! My baby is mad, but I must say we had a lot of fun when arguing about how to do it. It's all fun and games when you move in together with someone and you get to see all sides ;)

Guitar hero

Taking a break from yet another session with guitar hero. Every day after work F and I have played, we're improving but very slowly :) Earlier on I went to my weekly Italian class with Maria. Before each Tuesday I'm feeling all nervous about it but every time I'm there I really enjoy it! I would love to continue with it next semester but I feel that I have and have had too much on lately, so next semester I'm gonna do nothing except meeting up with friends and things like that.

I'm really curious about the Blax hairbands, did anyone try them yet? They sell them on Eleven for example. I also want to buy som hair oil as I've heard it's supposed to be really good for your hair but I haven't decided which one to buy. We'll see if I place an order soon!

Elsas Hemlighet

Earlier this week I received a book by the post that I've ordered - Elsas Hemlighet. I've read Sofi Fahrman's two previous books and really enjoyed reading them so of course I wanted to read the third one as well! I don't have much time for reading right now since I seem to be keeping busy all the time. If I don't have choir practice or learn Italian I meet up with friends or do something else. Spare time, what is that? Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading it soon.

Today, I've baked bread and we've also been to Sofia and Temme since it's Sofia's birthday tomorrow. I also got to meet the new family member Janelle, she was such a cutie. Right now my boyfriend is in the kitchen cooking us dinner! ;) I wish the weekend wasn't over yet, but sure I'll just have to look forward to the next one instead. Next weekend we don't have any plans except for Saturday night when we're invited to my parents for dinner.

Tonight I'm just gonna chill out in the couch, we might play guitar hero later on since we just bought the World Tour set! :)

I'm in love with this song written by Moa Lignell, who is one of the contestants in Idol on TV4. I fell in love with the song the first time I heard it and that was when she performed it on her audition. You go girl!

Rihanna

Maria and I were lucky that we got to see Rihanna when she performed in Globen on Tuesday night. We were afraid that she was going to cancel since she had cancelled the show in Malmö the night before but luckily she came out and gave us a show to remember. Wow, that girl can really sing! Some songs were better than others but I really enjoyed the concert. Maria and I went there as soon as the Italian class came to an end. F went to pick up his new car on Tuesday morning so he offered to come and pick us up at Gullmarsplan afterwards. Didn't get home until midnight so I was really tired on Wednesday. Luckily I'm off today so this weekend I'm gonna try to catch up on the sleep!
